When Denis Byrne founded my family’s wine business in 1879, he laid the foundations for very many future generations of wine lovers. My father gave me the opportunity to taste many wines from a very early age, and it was he that taught me everything that is worth knowing about wine.

The Byrnes seem to be quite a family: they run a successful wine merchant’s, with a good selection of malts, in the small northern English town of Clitheroe. D. Byrne & Co - Seasonal Cases
A light, juicy red with a ripe fruit sweetness, including aromas of raspberries, plums and cherries. On the palate sour cherry, raspberry coulis and soft tannins create this very approachable wine with an abundance of tangy red fruit and a savoury spiciness. Refreshing acidity on the finish. An Araldica classic, and a fantastic pasta wine.
